Youth Council. It is an honor to recognize this occasion and celebrate the leadership of Brian Jon,
who originally founded the Youth Council after a racist remark by a Bergen Academy teacher.
This incident resulted in young Asian Americans across the state of New Jersey gathering to raise
their collective voice. I want to commemorate the success of the Asian American Youth Council
in their work to empower Asian American youth and in turn, empower Asian Americans
throughout the nation...
